Good Day!
I was surfing around to find some inspiation for my own website, I want to create... I found your site by chance, and I must say I didn't regret to come here.
Keep up the good work, my friend!

Your sketches show so much sensitivity to the uniqueness and diversity of expressions. I am a caricaturist and I love to stretch and pull and see where the lines take me. It is nice to see that the skill of drawing isn't dead yet. Don't ever stop drawing. Sam

Writing to tell you I think your work is beautiful.
I'm an illustrator myself and found myself really studying your stuff...learned some stuff from you, so thanks.

Fantastic Work. I love your sketchbook stuff and the way that robot moves in your burton peice. It's funny when you can see the frames reflected on him.
I thought that train to zurich video would accompany a Pat Metheny song called "Last Train Home" very nicely. I found you through creativehotlist.com where your work really stands out from the crowd.

Hello Jon,
I stumbled into your site through the back door, while researching design firms and potential future clients on the all-knowing web. Just wanted to let you know I enjoyed the site, and it's nice to have a name to put to the work I've seen in various places before! I especially like the stylization and character design!
Oh, a quick introduction! I just graduated with my MFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and am starting up my career as a freelance illustrator (god willing...). I work mostly in cut-paper, and try to balance the narrative and conceptual in my work (a legacy carried over from my English Lit undergrad!).
Great site!

Hi Jon, lovely works and great sketchbooks! It is always interesting to look at the artist's sketchbook, how you observe and approach the environment so differently. I'm a freshman at Parsons School of Design in New York. Have you heard of Parsons? I'm currently in a situation of "what-to-major-in" type of confusion, and so far my best picks are Illustration or Design&Technology. I also want to minor in Animation. What would you say about the rising of technology in the illustration society? How would it change and influence the development of illustrators? Technology is just something new and I don't know if the illustration world is prepared for it yet. I just want to hear it from a profession's view. Thanks, bye!

I enjoyed checking out your website, interesting stuff. The reason I got here in the first place is because I'm trying to get started as an illustrator, but a bit lost yet as I graduated in '91 and have spent the last 11 covering as much foreign ground as possible.Nice African photos.I just got back myself in January.Took a year to travel from Eygpt to S.A. with Madagascar and Reunion thrown in.
Nice work,
Fiona.

PS. From previous compliments. A Question.
Jon,
How do you find so many subjects that allow you to sketch their faces?
Everytime I whip out my sketchbook, people bury their heads in newspapers
like they are in the Witness Protection Program!

I didn't seen a whole grouping of your stuff when I was working at WSJIE.
